For today's Geo Quiz we're aiming high.
We're looking for a city nestled in the mountains of Guatemala, more than seven thousand feet up. The place we have in mind is Guatemala's second largest city. From the city's streets you can see several volcanoes. One of them, Santiaguito, has been rumbling on and off since 1922.
Like Guatemala's currency, this city takes its name from the country's national bird. The city also has a popular nickname, taken from a Mayan word meaning "under ten mountains" or "beneath the ten gods." It's a good place to brush up on your Spanish, and on Mayan history and culture.
But now it's time to brush up on your Guatemalan geography and name this city.
