We're going to medical school for today's Geo Quiz.

We're looking for the city that's home to the "Latin American School of Medicine." The city is one of the oldest founded by Europeans in the Western Hemisphere. The medical school's classrooms and laboratories are located on the grounds of a former naval academy.

Nearly 3500 students are enrolled. They come from 23 countries throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. Some come from the United States.

Eight Americans graduated yesterday, their commencement was held in the Karl Marx Theatre. Afterward the graduates, with diplomas in hand, strolled along the city's landmark Malecón. That's an old avenue and walkway running along a seawall. Which Western Hemisphere capital are we looking for?
