It comes in right behind Russia, which still holds the Number One spot. Canada's 10 provinces and three territories are bounded by the Pacific, Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. There's a lot of open space. Without many people. Canada has only 9 inhabitants per square mile. One way to cover all that open space is to travel by rail.
