For today's geo quiz...were on the look out for a stupa.

A stupa is a monument shaped in the form of the sitting Buddha. It's a place of devotion and prayer. These sacred sites are scattered across India, Nepal, and Tibet as well as South East Asian countries.

But the stupa were looking for is located in an American city that's known for it stunning sandstone cliffs. In the late afternoon sun, the rocks turn a brilliant orange and red.

Many classic westerns were filmed near these red rock buttes and deserts. The red cliffs are a dramatic backdrop for a newly created stupa. One local monk says this holy site generates positive energy.

"Anyone who comes into contact with the stupa receives incredible blessings for the better they're very rare especially in this part of the world."
