Nepal Sounds

The answer to our Geo Quiz today rests at the foot of the Himalayas.

It's the Royal Chitwan National Park in Nepal. (27°30' ″N, 84°20′″E)

Greg Simmons traveled to Nepal's oldest national park (established 1973) and took along his microphone.

Greg Simmons is a Sydney, Australia based sound engineer. For the Chitwan recordings, he used a Nagra V 24/96 portable hard-disk recorder, a Schoeps MS microphone system with Rycote windscreen, and Beyerdynamic headphones.
