Today's Geo Quiz takes us to East Asia.
We're looking for an east Asian island once known by its Portuguese name: Formosa.
It's located 120 miles off the southeastern coast of mainland China.
It's surrounded by international waters. The Pacific Ocean, the South China Sea, The Taiwan Strait and the East China Sea.
In the northern corner of the island is Hsinchu county. That's the home of an aboriginal tribe called the Saisiyat.
The Saisiyat recently celebrated one of their most important rituals.
It's a ceremony to appease the spirits of a pygmy population believed to have once lived on the island.
