LISA MULLINS: No matter the issue, you can always count on North Korea to issue a memorable statement about it. Regarding its rocket launch this weekend, North Korea said it was for a satellite that would broadcast “immortal revolutionary songs.†Pyongyang also has a creative explanation for a recent defeat suffered by its national soccer team. The North Koreans lost, 1 goal to 0, to South Korea. State-run media in Pyongyang say that not only did three players from the North suffer food poisoning; it was all a South Korean plot. “Thus,†says North Korea's official news agency, “the match turned into a theater of plot-breeding and swindling.†South Korea rejected the accusation today.
