He is American folksinger and songwriter Pete Seeger.

Mister Seeger wasn't there to accept the award.

But he was ably represented by his grandson, Tao Rodriquez-Seeger, a musician in his own right.

Rodriquez-Seeger says that his grandfather never slowed down, even when he was blacklisted in the mid-50s.

Tao Rodriguez-Seeger is in Stockholm today to collect the Freemuse Award on behalf of his grandfather -- Pete Seeger.
