We're looking for the name of one of the islands of the Inner Hebrides. The port of Tayvallich on the west coast of Scotland is the best place to catch a ride there. A ferry chugs out of the harbor twice a day headed for Craighouse, a village on the island we're hopping to.
The ferry link from the mainland to the island started running this summer. It's the first direct ferry link in more than 30 years. The islanders, all 200 of them, seem to like the idea of coming ashore for some shopping or family visits. And the boat brings a couple dozen tourists out to the island each day.
Many visitors leave with a bottle of the island's famous single malt whiskey.
Or spend a day hiking up one of the island's three famous mountains. Their Gaelic names by the way are: Beinn an Ã’ir, Beinn Shiantaidh, and Beinn a' Chaolais.
So name this Scottish isle if you can!
