In 1942, during WWII, the Nazis swept through the Ukrainian countryside killing between 600,000 and 900,000 Ukrainian Jews. The World's Jason Margolis' family is originally from Ukraine. He recently went on a trip to Ukraine and visited his grandmother's shtetl, or village, and filed this report.
