As one of The World's London producers, Alex generates story ideas, helps secure interviews for the show, and facilitates the Boston team's access to the vast resources of the BBC. Prior to working on The World, Alex worked on a range of programs at the BBC, including being the sole male producer on British radio staple Woman's Hour, and a stint at the BBC's documentary unit.
Alex's work in radio has taken him all over the United States. During his junior year abroad in college he worked at KZSC radio in Santa Cruz. After graduation he headed to Oregon where he found work as newsreader on KBOO community Radio in Portland. After this Alex moved to New York City doing a stint as a reporter for WBAI and a researcher for The Leonard Lopate Show for WNYC. Unsurprisingly coast to coast road trips across the states are one of Alex's favourite pastimes. He is hoping to embark on his fifth trip sometime soon.
