We're looking for the traditional capital of Tibet for today's Geo Quiz. Tibet's full name is the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China.
Depending on which historical translation you choose...this mountainous capital's name either means the place of gods or the place of goats.
In any case, Tibetan Buddhists regard it as their holiest city. But it's a faraway and mysterious city to many Tibetan children in the US, since most have never traveled to their ancestral homeland.
But there's a camp closer to home, in New York's Adirondack Mountains in fact, that offers American kids a chance to explore their roots.
