One of India's southern states is the backdrop for today's Geo Quiz.

The state we're looking for has its capital in the high-tech city of Bangalore.

This state's squeezed in between the Arabian Sea to the west, and the state of Andra Pradesh to the east.

50 million people live there -- so it's a little crowded in the cities. But a fifth of the state is covered by forests. You can spot some of India's endangered Bengal tigers there.

Their numbers tell the story: Right now there are about 1,500 Bengal tigers left in the wild in all of India. That's 2,000 fewer tigers than there were five years ago.

We'll take you to a national park named Nagarhole where some of the big cats still roam. But first you've got to name the state in southern India where the park's located.
