And finally, for today's global hit we visit a Brazilian record shop and nightclub.
It's called Guanabara.
This Brazilian hotspot isn't in Rio or Sao Paulo.
It's in London.
But, as the shop's manager can tell you, it's the perfect place to hear the latest tunes from Brazil.
=======================================================
My name is Nina, DJ from Brazil.
Guanabara is a bar, restaurant, and club. We sell Brazilian music to all over the world. And we have customers in Japan, in Italy...and once I received an order from a guy in Brazil! We had the CD's that in Brazil the guy couldn't get - because sometimes old CD's are very difficult to get.
So, I have two hot tips for you today. The first one is Cansei de Ser Sexy. This band is from Sao Paulo. They're great, I love their music. They do a kind of electro-rock. The lyrics, most of them, are a bit dirty! But some of them are in English! Cansei de Ser Sexy the name means "I'm tired of being sexy".
My other hot tip is Telepatique. They're a very nice band as well. They mix a kind of electro-house. Yeah, it's the new fresh music, right now everybody's listening to electro. I love electro. In Brazil a lot of bands are doing electro.
This song is 'Sex, Drugs and Funk 'n' Roll'. They are talking about Rio. Because in Rio it's not rock, it's funk - you know?
These were the tunes that I wanted to show you, and I think that Brazilian music in the future will get more and more mixed. Because now you can hear one album and hear samba, bossanova, electronic music, all together in the same album. The artists are not concentrated to do, "Oh no, I play only bossanova, so I'm going to play bossanova to the end." No. Everybody's more free. And I think...I think it's great!
The top selling record at Gunanabara is by Brazilian producer DJ Patife.
