Jonathan oversees The World's producers, reporters, and editors to ensure that the show meets the program's goals and objectives.
As a long-time radio professional Jonathan has worked as reporter, producer, host, and editor across a wide range of BBC shows and even spent a time on loan to National Public Radio during the Gulf War and the collapse of the Berlin wall.
"What I love about making a daily radio show," Jonathan says "is that you never know what each day will bring. Whether it's that exciting late breaking story, or a great little creative production touch that one of the team dreams up, or a moving personal tale found by one of our correspondents, no single day comes anything close to routine."
In 2008 Jonathan helped create and launch, The Takeaway, the morning-drive radio program co-produced with WNYC in New York.
Jonathan is older than he appears in this photograph, which itself is quite old.
