Victoria is the senior producer in The World's London office, coordinating with the team in Boston to help them stay across the global news agenda as viewed from the other side of the Atlantic and ensuring the programme gets to make the best use of BBC resources.
She has been with the BBC for seven years, working variously in the Latin American Service, the World Service newsroom, on various news programmes including Newshour and World Update, at World Television and in the Miami office.
Victoria studied Modern Languages at the University of Nottingham, spending 'time out' in Paris, Pau, Salamanca and Mexico City. She says she never really planned to stay in London as her real passion is for all things Latin American and Hispanic. "I still dream that one day I'll move back to the region," she says, "or failing that, become a yoga teacher in the Andalucian countryside".
