Carol Hills is both a producer and reporter for The World. She produces in-depth features and series on topics as diverse as immigration, technology, international security and the environment. She also works with reporters from Asia to Africa finding unusual angles to illustrate how other countries are handling very American issues like health care, racial and ethnic tension, balancing work and family, and preserving the environment.

Before joining the staff of The World, Hills produced "Northwest Journal," a groundbreaking daily regional news program produced with KUOW-FM in Seattle. She also was a producer for Monitor Radio and for ten years before that had a career in television news and documentaries at The Christian Science Monitor and WGBH-TV.

In her spare time, Hills travels to those places she only hears about in her work.
