Katherine Griffin serves as both Office Manager and Associate Producer for The World. As well as overseeing general office functions, she also Assistant Directs during the live broadcast and works with the Promotions Producer to write the daily promos and produce custom promos for public radio stations around the country that carry the program.

Prior to joining The World, Katherine was Office Manager for a real estate investment firm in Boston, and before that she was an Administrative Manager for an Environmental Consulting firm in San Diego, California. "One of the reasons for returning to Boston", says Griffin, an enthusiastic traveller, "was for its proximity to Europe and my desire to explore cultures beyond my own. Working at The World has fed that curiosity and -- through reports, stories, and music -- has taken me to places I never expected to go."
