World Cup and Zidane report (4:50)

The Italian soccer team returned in triumph to Italy today, after beating France. France may have lost the soccer World Cup, but the French team's captain, Zinedine Zidane, was voted the best player of the tournament. It was the climax of his career, but Zidane was thrown out of the game in disgrace after head-butting an Italian opponent. The World's Alex Gallafent reports on the rise and fall of this sporting hero.

Chechen rebel killed (3:15)

Russia says the Chechen guerilla commander, Shamil Basayev, has been killed. Basayev is believed to have masterminded the attack on the school in Beslan. The World's Matthew Bell reports.

Guantanamo report (3:10)

The Bush Administration announced today it would comply with the Geneva Convention on the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. The apparent shift in its stance was prompted by a Supreme Court ruling last month. The World's Jessie Graham reports.
