Survivors of the genocide allegedly perpetrated by Ratko Mladic in Serbia agreed to tell their stories to the world, only once Mladic had been captured.

Now that Ratko Mladic has been arrested, accused of war crimes including genocide, some of these stories can now be made public. Dr. Denisa Kostovicova, Balkans expert and Senior Lecturer at the London School of Economics, and Dejan Anastasijevic, a political journalist with the journal, Vreme in Belgrade, help contextualize the event.
