Steve Earle talks about "The Wire"
Steve Earle sings about leaving his adopted home and falling in love again, and talks about his role on HBO's "The Wire."
The country rocker tells Kurt about how his move from Nashville to New York City inspired his new album, "Washington Square Serenade." He arrived in Tennessee by hitchhiking and stayed for 32 years. Earle talks of his love of New York City and what it represents to him.
He also talks about his role on HBO’s The Wire: "a redneck recovering addict, so it required no acting." Earle has been making music for over 30 years, but has recently gained a high profile due to his role on the television show.
