Guitarist Jack Rose discusses his influences and guitar style on "Echoes."

Listen NowListen Now

Jack Rose takes us to the outer edges of the acoustic guitar. Rose played in the avant-garde rock group Pelt before setting off on a solo guitar path that's part John Fahey and part something you've never heard before. We'll hear this idiosyncratic musician talk about his journey on "Echoes."

Rose offers up some insights on his guitar playing methods drawn from disparate sources like pre-War country blues to Indian classical music.  He even admits to the influence of the famous Led Zeppelin hard rock staple "Stairway to Heaven."

Hosted by John Diliberto, "Echoes" is a daily two-hour series of evocative, ground-breaking music seamlessly bridging new instrumental, world fusion, new acoustic, impressionistic jazz, and inventive vocal styles.
