John Diliberto talks to the German electronic artist about the music that inspires him.

Listen NowListen Now

Ulrich Schnauss takes his forbears like Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk and keys that sound into contemporary electro rhythms, a bit of new wave shoegazer romanticism, and melodies that have the infinite, never-ending sound of a Pachelbel Canon. Ulrich Schnauss steps into the darkness of the Echoes Chamber to comment on the sources of his sound.

His album "A Strangely Isolated Place" turned many heads a few years back, and he has a new one out called "Goodbye."

He talks to John Diliberto about the artists and music that inspire him.

Hosted by John Diliberto, "Echoes" is a daily two-hour series of evocative, ground-breaking music seamlessly bridging new instrumental, world fusion, new acoustic, impressionistic jazz, and inventive vocal styles.
