Guthrie is the daughter of folk music legend Woody Guthrie. She’s also the curator of the current Smithsonian traveling exhibition,This Land is Your Land, which looks at Woody’s life, legacy, and his lasting influence on American music and culture, and is the driving force behindMermaid AvenueandMermaid Avenue II, the acclaimed collaborative albums of her father’s unrecorded lyricsby Billy Bragg and Wilco.
