After a massive explosion in China kills dozens and injures hundreds, authorities move to prevent secondary accidents

At least 50 people have been killed and hundreds have been injured after massive explosions in northeast China.
The blasts, in the port city and industrial center of Tianjin, occurred at a warehouse storing toxic chemicals.
Shockwaves from the blast, which sent a cloud of smoke over the city, were felt up to six miles away.

Witnesses to the explosions flooded social media with first-hand accounts and arresting images.
The blast was big enough to be seen from space and China's CCTV reports the second explosion was equal to 21 tons of TNT.
