As you probably heard, Germany destroyed Brazil (7-1) on Tuesday in a World Cup semifinal game, marking the departure of the host nation from the unpopular and expensive soccer project that President Dilma Rousseff had set her reputation on.

Many say the match could have serious and lasting political repercussions for Rousseff and the country. Or was it just a game?
