London’s Millenium Bridge Gets its Own Soundtrack

London’s Millennium Bridge, which made headlines when it opened in 2000 because it was wobbly, now features some intriguing noises and music, from voices to nursery rhymes to church bells.

A soundscape, Tales from the Bridge, has been installed for the Olympic and Paralympic Games on the structure linking Tate Modern and the St Paul’s Cathedral, either side of the Thames.

The BBC’s Beth McLeod spoke to its creator Martyn Ware, a pioneer of electronic music who founded Human League and Heaven 17.
