For today’s Geo Quiz — we’re looking for love. There’s a lot of hype surrounding Valentine’s Day and lots of pressure to buy cards and flowers.

If you haven’t gotten around to it… no worries. Here’s your chance for Valentine’s redemption. Help us find a place called Love.

There are actually a few.

Our favorite is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. Then there’s a village in Canada and that’s one were looking for.

Local Dale McKinnon runs what he calls the Love Barn.

Love BarnLove Barn

It’s definitely not x-rated, its just a souvenir shop in the village that Mackinnon, well, loves:

“Oh love is a great place to live in fact today is valentines day and each year we have our annual valentines day winter festival activities all day social you name it love is the place to be on Valentine’s Day.”

So where in Canada is this place called Love?

The answer’s here…

So where is this place called Love?

We were looking for a Canadian village where the post office stamps letters with a teddy bear postmark.

Local businessman Dale McKinnon’s got the answer.

“The village of Love is in Love Saskatchewan Canada, we are on highway 54 east of Prince Albert, the village population is approx 54, and I’ve lived in Love forever…”

McKinnon runs the Love Barn in Love, Saskatchewan.

And — no — it’s not a warm and cuddly place to spend your Valentine’s Day.

Not outdoors, anyway.

“Well we’re 40 below this morning with a wind chill of minus 47 so a very cool valentine’s day here, we’re used to it, tough Canadians I guess.”
