Eight players suspended in U of Miami football scandal
The NCAA has suspended eight University of Miami football players today for accepting impermissible benefits from former U of M booster Nevin Shapiro. The move comes just weeks after Yahoo! Sports reported that Shapiro, who is in federal prison for his role in a $930 million Ponzi scheme, recruited players using methods against NCAA regulations.
