88-year-old Okinawa vet beaten to death by two teens (VIDEO)
A World War II veteran was beaten to death in a parking lot in Spokane, Wash. on Wednesday night.
An 88-year-old World War II veteran died Thursday after he was brutally beaten by two teenagers in Spokane, Wash., apparently at random.
Spokane police have arrested a 16-year-old boy, who has been charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree murder. They are sill searching for a second 16-year-old boy, identified as Kenan Adams-Kinard.
Both boys were caught on camera before the violence on Wednesday night.
Delbert "Shorty" Belton was a retired aluminum company worker and veteran. He was shot in the leg in the 1945 Battle of Okinawa.

He was discharged from the Army after the war.
He was in the parking lot of an Eagles lodge — an American fraternal organization and charity — where he is a member, when the attack occurred. He had apparently just arrived to play pool with a friend.
Belton was found by police in his car with serious head injuries.
Spokane is about 300 miles east of Seattle.
