What happens when an immigrant becomes disillusioned with his adoptive country? This is subject of director, Mira Nair’s latest film opening in limited release Friday. The film is an adaptation of the novel, “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” by Mohsin Hamid.

Hamid’s novel explores issues of identity and assimilation of a young Pakistani professional living in America before and after the events of 9/11.
