A tour bus driver and another unidentified person were killed after a tour bus carrying players from the Seton Hall women's lacrosse team plunged off a Pennsylvania highway Saturday, reports NBC.

Pennsylvania Turnpike spokeswoman Renee Colborn told Reuters that the bus was carrying 23 Seton Hill lacrosse players and three coaches when it veered off the Turnpike and crashed into a tree.

Three injured players were taken to local hospitals by helicopter, reports Fox43. The remaining 19 were taken by ambulance.

AP reports that photos from the scene show the bus upright on the side of the highway with its left side torn off.

The players from Seton Hill, a small Catholic school near Pittsburgh, was scheduled to play Saturday afternoon at Millersville University, about 50 miles from the crash site, reports AP.

"Today's women's lacrosse game vs. Seton Hill has been canceled. Seton Hill was involved in a traffic accident en route to the game. We hope the best for all involved," Millersville University Athletics said in a post on its Facebook page.
