Unaware she was pregnant, woman delivers 10-pound baby
The woman was pregnant at the time of the accident and flown to hospital where her baby was surgically removed.
A woman who didn't know she was pregnant went to the hospital for a hernia and instead delivered a 10-pound baby girl.
Linda Ackley, 44, had been told she couldn't have children, reported ABC News, leading her to believe what she felt was a hernia.
"She is our miracle baby," said the new mother, who gave birth on Feb. 8 by emergency C-section.

Her husband, Mike, found out he was a father over the phone.
"Some people have nine months to prepare. I had [15] hours," he said. "I wish someone would have taken a picture of my face."
According to the Associated Press, Kimberly Kay Ackley was born normal and healthy at 11:20 p.m., weighing in at 10 pounds, 1 ounce. She and her mother have been discharged from the hospital.
ABC News also noted that surprise births are fairly common.
"It happens more than you would think," said Dr. Kimberly Gecsi, who works at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland. "Every time it does there's always the, 'How could they not have known? It seems crazy.'"
Gecsi said she gets two or three cases of surprise births on average every year, and occurs mostly among young women who are in denial.
