Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Thomas have confirmed they are expecting their first child.
Less than a year after they were married, Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Thomas, are expecting their first child.
The couple confirmed they were pregnant in an interview with television show, Extra.
Thomas, who works on the show, told how she took a pregnancy test without telling her husband and when it was positive, could not contain her excitement.
“There’s a scream I heard, which is a scream normally reserved if there’s a spider in the house, not exaggerating," her husband said.
"Normally, I will be reading a book. We're in the country, it's quiet, some time to really relax and unwind and sometimes, once a month, you hear ‘Ahhh, Alec, Alec!’ I come upstairs, and there’s a spider on the wall. So then I hear that scream again, but it was not a spider.”
His wife ran up the stairs screaming she was pregnant.
The actor, who has a daughter from a previous marriage, added: “We can joke all about it, but it's honestly the most amazing moment. We are really sharing something special.”
It is the first child for Thomas, US Weekly reported.
Alec is already dad to Ireland, his 17-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
The baby is due late this summer.
