Five cruise ship crew members have died in an accident while docked in the Canary Islands.

The Majesty cruise ship was running a routine safety drill at port in Santa Cruz de la Palma when a lifeboat fell into the sea, killing five and injuring three others, BBC News reported

The ages and identities of the victims were not released, but three were Indonesians, one Philippino and the other Ghanaian, BBC reported.

The three injured were all male, two 30-year-olds and a 32-year-old Greek national, according to the Associated Press

The boat was reportedly registered in Britain, the AP reported. The UK Foreign Office said it was "urgently investigating" the accident, according to BBC.
