A man dramatically interrupted Buckingham Palace's changing of the guards ceremony Sunday morning when he held a knife to his own throat and then wielded it at police, who tasered him into submission.

The man broke through security cordons past the large crowd at around 11:55 a.m., and was tasered by police 10 seconds later, the Daily Beast reported

"He was not making threats to members of the public but he was challenged by police," a spokesman said, according to the Guardian. "He acted aggressively and a taser was discharged."
