Argentina police busted an international pedophile ring that used social media websites to swap pornographic images and videos of children.

Federal police carried out 61 raids last week in order to dismantle the ring, a part of "Operation Oliver," reported the Associated Press. Officials said 64 people have been charged, but no arrests were made.

The operation started in February 2011 when local police and Interpol discovered sites in London publishing and swapping pornographic videos with servers in Argentina. Several computers were seized during the raids in nine Argentine provinces and in Buenos Aires, all of which had images of minors.

According to BBC News, some of the computers contained images of children younger than 10.

Deputy Security Secretary Dario Ruiz said ring members had used pseudonyms to meet with other pedophiles through social networks.
