Kerry Nominated for Secretary of State

On Friday, President Obama nominated Democratic Senator John Kerry to be the next secretary of state.  Kerry, who has served five terms in Congress and currently chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has also been a frequent adviser to Obama.
It is expected that John Kerry’s nomination will be easily confirmed.
