Family of Jacintha Saldanha did not know she was nurse in Kate Middleton hoax scandal

The London nurse duped by two Australian radio DJs into revealing information about the health of Catherine Middleton during her recent hospital stay had not told her family that she was involved in the royal hoax scandal.

Meanwhile, details of Jacintha Saldanha's apparent suicide are due to be revealed by a coroner on Thursday, British time, the Australian Associated Press reported.

According to Britain's Daily Mail, the 46-year-old mother of two was found hanged in her at her living quarters near the exclusive King Edward VI Hospital where she worked, and note to her family was discovered.

Saldanha's husband, Benedict Barboza, has revealed his fury with the radio DJs, Mel Greig and Michael Christian, who posed as the Queen and Prince Charles to obtain confidential information about the Duchess of Cambridge, who was being treated for acute morning sickness.

The DJs later aired a recording of the conversation they had with a nurse unwittingly put on the line by Saldanha.

Sky News reported Wednesday that Saldanha had not shared news of the hoax call with Barboza or her children Junal, 17, and Lisha, 14, before her death.

While 2Day FM has conveyed sympathy to the family over Saldanha's death, British Labour MP Keith Vaz — speaking for Barboza and his children — reportedly called for a thorough investigation:

"We need to know the facts, fully and clearly. There are unexplained circumstances. The family were in the dark."

AAP, meantime, revealed that Greig and Christian, who work for Sydney-based 2Day FM, were to be interviewed by local police as part of the coronial investigation.
