GOP launch pre-emptive strike against UN’s Susan Rice

97 House Republicans sent a letter to President Barack Obama arguing against his possible nomination of US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice for Secretary of State.
It is the latest warning from Republicans that accuse Rice of "having either willfully or incompetently misled the American public in the Benghazi affair," according to CBS News.
US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
The letter said: "Though Ambassador Rice has been our Representative to the U.N., we believe her misleading statements over the days and weeks following the attack on our embassy in Libya…caused irreparable damage to her credibility both at home and around the world."

As GlobalPost reported Obama said not yet made a decision on whether he will nominate Rice, who is considered a front-runner for the position. John Kerry (D-MA) is also rumored on the short-list.
Last week Obama warned the GOP against partisan attacks after Sen. John McCain said "do whatever is necessary to block the nomination" and Sen. Lindsey Graham added "I don't trust her."
Rice's defenders include former CIA director David Petraeus and the head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.).
