Nanny Yoselyn Ortega had “massive fight” with Marina Krim day before the two children were killed

NEW YORK — Nanny Yoselyn Ortega has told police she was angry and resentful of her employers, Marina and Kevin Krim, because they were demanding.

In an interview with detectives from her hospital bed, Ortega said she had a "massive argument" with Marina Krim the day before she allegedly stabbed to death Lucia Krim, 6, and her brother, Leo, in their luxury New York apartment, according to RadarOnline.

"Yoselyn also said that when she left at the end of the day before the murders, Marina ignored her when she said good-bye and this made her very, very angry," the source said.

While previous reports have suggested the Krims had a happy working relationship with Ortega, she has a different view, police said.

The relationship appeared to be unravelling in the weeks leading up to the deaths.

Ortega said Marina Krim had chastised her for giving her children junk food when she was not looking. Krim had also expressed concern about how Ortega was interacting with her three young children.

Ortega, 50, was interviewed by police on Saturday at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and waived her right to have a lawyer present.

She was later charged with first and second degree murder, The New York Times reported.

The newspaper quoted a detective involved in the case who said Ortega indicated to them she was angry and resentful of the Krim family. 

“She had resentment towards the parents and said they were always telling her what to do,” the official told the newspaper.

Ortega allegedly told the detectives, “Marina knows what happened.” 

On the day of the alleged murders, Ortega was supposed to meet Marina Krim at a dance studio but when she did not show up, Krim returned home to her Upper West side apartment where she was confronted with the horrifying scene. 

The funerals for Lucia and Leo were held on Monday.
