Venezuelans Make All the Difference in the World Series

Sunday night, the San Francisco Giants finished their sweep of the Detroit Tigers with a thrilling, 10 inning victory. Venezuelan native Marco Scutaro drove in the winning run for the Giants, who won 4-3. Pablo Sandoval (at right), also a Venezuelan, took home the World Series MVP trophy. All in all, it was a great series for fans in Venezuela. Between the Tigers and the Giants, nine Venezuelans were in the line-ups, including the Tigers' Miguel Cabrera, who had already won baseball's triple crown for his outstanding offensive play during the season. But for Venezuelans, the fun doesn't stop there. Some of their favorite MLB players will be returning home to play in Venezuela's winter league.
