In the first US Presidential debate, Republican candidate Mitt Romney attacked the Obama Administration's economic record.

Romney said he did not want the US to "go down the path to Spain."

In the second Presidential debate, Romney took aim again at Europe's economic woes. Four more years of President Obama's policies, he argued, would put America on "the road to Greece."

That got us wondering – what is the economic situation in Greece right now, and where does Europe stand in terms of sorting out its financial problems.

The World's Clark Boyd, who has spent the last two years reporting on Europe's financial crisis, fills us in.
