Kate Middleton tops Vanity Fair International Best-Dressed List

Kate Middleton is the cover girl of Vanity Fair’s September issue after topping the magazine’s 2012 International Best-Dressed List, cementing her status as a style icon.
Unlike the South African issue of Marie Claire, which featured a photoshopped image of the Duchess of Cambridge on the cover of its August issue, this appears to be the real deal.
It is the third time Middleton, who has worn every top designer but is not shy about recycling her wardrobe, has been included in the prestigious list, USA Today reported.
According to Vanity Fair, Kate forked out $55,000 on clothing in the first half of the year.
Middleton tries to keep costs down by bargain hunting at chains such as Topshop. She also buys her own clothes, saving the British taxpayer the cost of a royal dresser.
People Magazine reported that Middleton’s brother-in-law, Prince Harry, made it on the list for the first time. His brother William, Middleton's hubby, was overlooked.
Other royals in the list include Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline.
Jessica Chastain, who shares the cover with Middleton, Bill Cunningham, Colin Firth and his wife Livia, Diane Kruger, Matt Lauer and Stella McCartney also made the cut, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
