The former head of the UN observer mission in Syria recently said it was "only a matter of time" until President Bashar al-Assad's government falls. Toppling Bashar al-Assad in Syria might be relatively easy, compared to the violence that is likely to plague a fractured, post-Assad regime, says Vali Nasr, the dean of the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Nasr tells host Aaron Schachter that discussions with Iran might head off that crisis.
