Finding Nemo 2 to be directed by Andrew Stanton

A sequel to "Finding Nemo" is reportedly getting the go ahead with director Andrew Stanton at the helm, according to Deadline.
Stanton, most recently known for the debacle that was "John Carter," originally won two Oscars for his animation work on "Finding Nemo" in 2003, according to Deadline.
The first film made $867.9 million worldwide, making it Pixar's second-highest-grossing film ever.
The original had Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks providing their voices, but The Huffington Post said it is unknown whether they are back for the sequel.

"Finding Nemo 2" will join the other sequels in Pixar's lineup including "Toy Story," "Cars," and the upcoming prequel to "Monsters Inc.," said The HuffPost.
"It’s the originals that keep us really going and it’s the sequels that are like comfort food, and I think it’s the same way for the audience," Stanton was quoted as saying at the Hero Complex Film Festival, according to The HuffPost.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Victoria Strouse will be writing the script and Lindsey Collins will be producing the film that is slated for a 2016 release.
