Octomom Nadya Suleman wants to move to Australia to escape ‘toxic’ US

Nadya Suleman — better known in the US as "Octomom" — reportedly wants to move to Australia.

Suleman, who gave birth to octuplets in 2009 when she already had six children, wanted to escape "toxic" America, her father Ed Suleman told Australia's Woman's Day magazine.

The unemployed 36-year-old Californian has been subject to no small amount of scorn, ridicule and even hate mail since going public with her decision to have multiple pregnancies as a sole parent through IVF.

Making matters worse, Suleman was forced to file for bankruptcy in April after racking up $1 million worth of debt, with only $50,000 worth of assets, according to the Age newspaper.

Ed Suleman told Woman's Day: “People in America hate my daughter and that breaks my heart, so I think the only solution is for us to all move away.

"I can't think of a better place for us to go than Australia."

Suleman reportedly has an uncle in Sydney named John, who works in the fishing industry.

The Age points out that if Suleman were to gain permanent residency in Australia, she could reap $1,540 from the country's welfare system – minimum – with so many dependents aged under 12.

According to other media reports, Suleman had been trying to improve her finances with forays into stripping and pornography.

Gossip Extra reported, for example, that she had signed deals with two rival South Florida strip clubs — T’s Lounge in West Palm Beach and The Playhouse South in Hallandale.

She had reportedly already starred in her first porn film, "Octomom Home Alone."

According to Gawker, the "self-love porn flick features the mother of fourteen in a variety of erotic vignettes that take playful aim at different aspects of her Octomom persona."
