Justin Bieber fans flood Mexico City’s main plaza for free concert

Thousands of Mexican girls and their parents flooded into Mexico City's main plaza on Monday for a free Justin Bieber concert.

As many as 200,000 people are expected, according to the Associated Press.

Some of the girls, aged from 10 to 14 years old, traveled hundreds of miles and spent Sunday night camped out along a street near the Zócalo, Fox News reported.

13-year-old Fernanda Gutierrez Aparicio told the AP she had spent a week camping out with her mother, only going home to shower, in order to be one of the first to enter.

More than 5,000 police were available to prevent an accident after 40 Bieber fans were injured at a free concert in Oslo, Norway last month.

According to the AP, last month's concert in Zócalo by former Beatle Paul McCartney drew 230,000 people including President Felipe Calderon.
