LOS ANGELES — Survivor 'One World,' the 24th season of the survival reality television show, crowned its winner on Sunday night.

Kim Spradlin, a 29-year-old bridal shop owner and recent divorcee, beat out four other female contestants to snag both $1 million game prize and the $100,000 Sprint Player of the Season award, given to the most popular player according to audience votes, CBS News reported

"When I was watching it at home, it seemed too obvious to me," Spradlin said of her win in an interview with TV Guide. "I thought, 'There's no way they're going to edit it to make it look like I was winning and then actually win.' It's like when they kill the good guy at the end – at least, I think of myself as the good guy. But honestly, I just got paranoid."

The show — which placed contestants on an island in Samoa for 39 days — was originally a battle of the sexes, but became dominated by women near the end of the series, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Spradlin was one of the final five contestants along with four other women: 33-year-old high school teacher Sabrina Thompson of New York; 26-year-old medical saleswoman Chelsea Meissner of Charleston, South Carolina; 29-year-old career consultant Christina Cha of Los Angeles; and 25-year-old special education teacher Alicia Rosa of Chicago, according to CBS News.

Kim's already being talked about as one of the all-time great "Survivor" winners, MTV News reported: during a commercial break at the live finale, original "Survivor" winner Richard Hatch said from the audience that Kim was one of the best players to ever play the game.

"That was a really surreal moment," Spradlin, who is a self-described "huge fan" of Hatch, told TV Guide. "Even Jeff came up to me after and said, 'You really were one of the best.' I mean… there are no words for that."

The winner will receive her check Monday afternoon on CBS's daytime show "The Talk."
