Obama: Preventing Atrocities is Core Security Interest

President Obama gave a speech on Monday at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, in which he highlighted the importance of trying to prevent potential genocide and atrocities before they happen. The President said that preventing atrocities was a "core national security interest" and he outlined some of the diplomatic and political tools that can be used before military intervention comes into play. He also announced that the newly created Atrocities Prevention Board would be meeting for the first time today. Marco Werman talks with Harvard professor Sarah Sewall, who founded the Mass Atrocity Response Operations Project, about the President's speech.
